Eagle Catastrophe
To Send Mexico to Hell;18.5 卡特莉 Tlaltecuhtli;18.6 墨西哥法典 Mexican Codex;18.7 玉米穗 Maize Cobs

The symbol of the 18th Catastrophe in Sunstone Calendar represents the eagle on Mexican flag (see Figure 35), named Tlaltecuhtli. After devouring the snake (which symbolizes greed), she was reborn from the flames (see 15.7, “Consummation Buddha”) and transformed into the woman depicted in Figure 35, Chalchiuhtlicue. She is the progenitor of Mexican people and the first emperor of the Mexican Republic.
Fate Through
According to legend, the historical event depicted by the eagle on Mexican flag took place in 1325; based on statistical findings indicating that Golden Boy and Jade Girl reached enlightenment at the age of 38.7, Chalchiuhtlicue (see fig. 36) was born around 1286. The lampshade-like object in Figure 36 suggests that her life was meticulously planned and directed—that is, everything she saw, heard, and experienced was carefully orchestrated.
When Chalchiuhtlicue was about one year old, King Turquoise went on a business trip to offer a sacrifice to Tlaloc (to perform the ritual of “touch eyes” for the Gold Boys; see 2. “Rain God”). Upon his return, he told Coatlicue that he had betrothed Chalchiuhtlicue to Mexico. Subsequently, Coatlicue and King Turquoise (Xiuhtecuhtli) held an engagement ceremony for Chalchiuhtlicue herself and Mexico. Upon hearing the news, relatives and friends all offered their congratulations to Chalchiuhtlicue and asked her about Mexico. Mexico became a frequent topic of conversation in their household. Chalchiuhtlicue could even hear the servants talking about her boyfriend, Mexico, and saying what a perfect match they made.
The young girl Chalchiuhtlicue (as shown in Figure 47) still remembers her engagement to Mexico when she was one year old. Having memories from before the age of three is known as Fate-Through; Chalchiuhtlicue possessed this superpower throughout her life. The ancient Mexicans referred to these pre-three-year-old memories as Quetzalcoatl. More than thirty years later, when she married Mexico, Chalchiuhtlicue quickly absorbed his experiences of hell through the influence of Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl served as the foundation for the two of them becoming a dual-bodied God. No power in the mortal world can sever this bond known as Quetzalcoatl. In Figures 41, 45, and 49, the red string on Chalchiuhtlicue’s ankle symbolizes her memory of her childhood engagement to Mexico.
Why do King Turquoise and Coatlicue place such trust in Mexico? King Turquoise aims to establish Mexican civilization, a task that will require the joint efforts of three lifetimes (that is, three generations) to accomplish. Mexico is the next incarnation of King Turquoise’s soul. It is said that this relationship of reincarnation is that of a godfather and godson; only the next generation born of such a bond can truly carry out the wishes of the previous life. In this regard, biological children, adopted children, and sworn children cannot be relied upon. Coatlicue is the guardian goddess of this Godly cycle. As described in Section 14.3 above, she is willing to sacrifice herself to protect Mexico.
Ollin Heart
When Chalchiuhtlicue was about six years old, she was chosen as the human prototype (i.e., Jade Girl) to resurrect Chalchiuhtlicue. She made four great vows to Chalchiuhtlicue: “Sentient beings are edgeless; I vow I ferry them all! Annoyances are endless; I vow I sever them all! Juristic doors are limitless; I vow I study them all! Chalchiuhtlicue’s path is non-upper; I vow I endeavour to succeed!” This vow is known as the Ollin Heart and plays an important role in Chalchiuhtlicue's life.
In Buddhism, this vow is called the Ark of Will.
Figure 45 shows that Chalchiuhtlicue’s Enlightenment Tree grew from the Olin Heart in the flowerpot at the bottom. Figure 49 depicts Chalchiuhtlicue teaching the Mexican Codex; she is demonstrating to the descendants of Mexico how to nurture the Ollin Heart with the same care one would give to a child.
Figure 36: At the bottom of Chalchiuhtlicue’s rice bowl lies a fully matured elixir, representing Ollin Heart. This indicates that they feed Ollin Heart to Chalchiuhtlicue in various forms.
For example, after Chalchiuhtlicue swears the Ollin oath to the Goddess of Chalchiuhtlicue, she will be sent to the Goddess Training Program on Coatepec. At that school, teachers and students have already begun discussing how Chalchiuhtlicue’s fiancé has signed up to retrieve human bones from Hell. Hell is a dangerous place; even if he returns alive, he will be riddled with illness. Chalchiuhtlicue has sworn to care for him for the rest of her life.
Xipe Totec
The ancient Maya referred to Covenant Ark as Xipe Totec. In this article, the term “Maya” refers to the people of Mexico 1,325 years ago. They described the Ark as consisting of many fragments and associated it with eye ailments. This implies that when you see Chalchiuhtlicue in women’s skin, she appears as a woman. After she departs, you may doubt whether you had just encountered multiple women. Alternatively, it suggests that Chalchiuhtlicue has shattered, and those who see her cannot reassemble her into a single woman. Look closely at a woman, and you will see that she is nothing but lifeless refuse, as shown in Figure 39, depicting the Chalchiuhtlicue’s thigh.
Of course, what people actually see is not bare bones. Figure 39 illustrates how Chalchiuhtlicue’s sexual desire has harmed many people. Because when she takes a fancy to a man and shows him affection, but he feels no sexual desire for her, she becomes angry, and that man encounters Misfortune. An angry Chalchiuhtlicue is Misfortune. Everyone who witnessed Chalchiuhtlicue’s anger encountered Misfortune.
Figure 37 shows Coatlicue teaching Woman Precepts to Chalchiuhtlicue. Woman Precepts is also known as the Skin of Woman, the Cloak of Invisibility, and “500 Majesties and 108,000 Charms” (see section 15.2). This is the biblical account of "God dressing Eve in the skin of woman." The key element here is the Ollin Heart (Oath), because the symbol of the Precepts is a ring, and these 500 rings, or 108,000 rings, all follow the Lord Ring, Ollin Heart.
To Send Mexico to Hell
The lower half of Figure 38 depicts the moment when, during her matchmaking encounter with Mexico, Chalchiuhtlicue successfully completed her first fated task: she tore out his heart and sent him to hell (i.e., Mental Illness). The upper part of the illustration shows her parents, King Turquoise (Xiuhtecuhtli) and Coatlicue, helping her.
I haven’t heard the story of Chalchiuhtlicue implanting carrion beetles into Mexico, but here are three similar cases: 4.5 Naturally Falling in Love; 9.5.2 Battle of Ban Fountain; 7.3 Blind Date
Why did King Turquoise do this? To save the world, of course. Mexican Codex states: “The Consummation Buddha (see section 15.7) can fulfill all of life’s needs!”
Tlaltecuhtli
After enduring numerous romantic setbacks, Chalchiuhtlicue gradually began to harbor resentment toward King Turquoise and Tlaloc (i.e., Mexico), believing that her unhappiness in love was the result of the sacrifices she had made for them. Her temper grew increasingly foul, and since a name is an expression of one’s individuality, people began to call her Tlaltecuhtli.
In Buddhism, Chalchiuhtlicue of Tlaltecuhtli age group is called "Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin," or Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. As shown in Figure 39, she has eyes on her joints, teeth, and claws. She is a demoness dressed in woman's skin, who enjoys eating human hearts and absorbing the vitality of others. This is because she is good at 500 majesties and 108,000 charms; every word and action she takes can cause harm to others, and suffer from mental illness.
Figure 39: Tlaltecuhtli’s head is depicted as an antenna, representing "Escalatory Language Feeler”. Since preconscious-ness (aka. Eve-sense) plays a role in the formation of language, it is also referred to as the "Escalatory Language Feeler”. Here, the "Escalatory Language Feeler” is used to symbolize her head, indicating that Tlaltecuhtli is the incarnation of Eve-sense—that is, Eve herself.
Tlaltecuhtli's eyes are located on the top of her head, signifying her disdain for others. Her broad body indicates her arrogance.
Legend says that she was extremely greedy, swallowing the sun every night and releasing it back the next morning. This suggests she established a "Non-Dwelling Nirvana" in her preconscious mind. In Buddhism, Non-Dwelling Nirvana is one of the highest attainments. She effectively possessed Godly Intelligence. This ability of hers is called the Juristic Eye.
What kind of knowledge system is the Juristic Eye? Based on the Godly Trinity, with the Golden Boy and Jade Girl as basic models, she established her own system for recognizing people. She is also adept at applying the fixed numbers found in meditation and the secrets of different professions. See Chapter 11, which contains many decisive descriptions, namely that people have certain experiences and therefore possess certain knowledge; it is fixed.
Mexican Codex
After Tlaltecuhtli married Mexico, she reverted to her identity as Chalchiuhtlicue. In Figure 45, the ancient Mexicans depicted her nursing a child to symbolize her role as Chalchiuhtlicue, the Mother of All Sentients. That child is Quetzalcoatl, whose essence is the “self that follows thoughts within the thought mechanism.” This concept originates from the preconscious mind (also known as the Eve-sense), which always grasps onto something as its own. This “self” is the ego within the thought mechanism; ancient Mexicans called it Quetzalcoatl, Europeans called it Abel, Chinese called it Fu (Fortune), Germans called it Magni, and Indians called it Brahmin.
The stool on which Chalchiuhtlicue sits also signifies her status. The jaguar spots on the stool indicate that her work builds upon that of Tlaloc.
The Tree of Enlightenment on the left in Figure 45 also signifies Chalchiuhtlicue's identity and represents the 666 system she frequently uses.
Six roots: eye root, ear root, nose root, tongue root, body root, and intent-root (i.e., preconsciousness)
Six senses: eye sense, ear sense, smell sense, tongue sense, body sense, and intent-sense (i.e., consciousness)
Six dusts: color dust, sound dust, smell dust, taste dust, touch dust, and law dust
Chalchiuhtlicue believed that completing the *Mexican Codex* was her destiny (as indicated by the two books atop her head in Figure 44). Figure 42 shows that, in her view, the first half of Mexico’s history was built by gold bricks; thus, the 20 events in the inner ring of the Sunstone Calendar form the core of *Mexican Codex*. Figure 43 illustrates that *Mexican Codex* is woven from 13 biographical narratives. The stories of these 13 individuals are interconnected, forming a narrative system for *Mexican Codex* that has no beginning and no end.
Maize Cobs
Legend says that for a time, Chalchiuhtlicue unleashed a three-month-long flood. Based on fragmented images of the Mexican Codex, the editor I believe this was the effect of the corn cobs created by Chalchiuhtlicue (as shown in Figures 4 and 46). In those texts, Chalchiuhtlicue systematically answered all 300 to 600 questions about life. The texts involve numerous matrices, requiring readers to repeatedly look at them from top to bottom and back to front, like chewing on a corn cob. Because "pure senses are water," and "pure senses harm haves," reading such texts leads to brainwashing. Therefore, those corn cobs are a metaphor for this type of baptismal text.
Most people can be baptized and become real humans by reading such texts. However, a minority of image-thinking individuals must reach Ollin through the Philosopher-stone Path of the Vulture Catastrophe (see the 19th Catastrophe).
