PPP to nominal ratio and retirement destination
When we retire, most of us depend on fixed income. We have greater freedom to choose our residence places. We wish our dollars would stretch longer. A place with higher PPP to nominal GDP per capita might be an indicator that our money has higher purchasing power there. Below is a list of twenty countries with the highest PPP to nominal ratio. All countries have nominal GDP per capita higher than 10,000 dollars.
Many countries are from the former Soviet bloc. It is amazing that China and Taiwan have a very similar PPP to nominal ratio.
