DEI 会促进生产力吗？

波音又摔飞机了。早就听说波音是DEI的重灾区，网上一查，果然如此。

Boeing recently dismantled its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) department, integrating it into a broader HR team focused on talent and employee experience. This move, part of a wider restructuring, shifts the company's focus towards a merit-based workplace, with hiring and promotion based on equal opportunity rather than specific DEI targets. The company has also removed references to DEI goals and aspirations from its website. 

我的搜查能力有限，无法考证哪些公司是自愿的，哪些是被迫的。经常看到这样的新闻，政府对承包商在DEI有硬性要求，不达标就不能参加竞标。一位NIH的朋友说，NIH下属27个研究所。每年的年度总结都要用一定篇幅说明在DEI的成绩。

那么，这种情况在共和党治下是否也有。庞大的联邦政府的惯性，不是换个总统就能解决的。这大概就是床铺所说的华盛顿沼泽。所以床铺一上台第一件事，就是砍DEI，尽管有些简单粗暴，但可能也是唯一的办法。
