封神榜 2.9.7 Proclamation of Canonizing Gods

石矶娘娘宴请夏国的皇帝蔻珠。这天的下午蔻珠和元始天尊来靖王府看老虎了。炎帝把两本送给夏国的礼物清单给蔻珠和元始天尊看。

元始天尊看了标价后问蔻珠：“世界上真有这么贵重的东西吗！？姐姐你已经去看过了，这套玉器值三百万两白银吗？”

皇帝蔻珠回答：“我确实去看了两次了，但我没进去看里面的精品玉器，因为太贵，我买不起。”

Queen Stone Jetty invited the Emperor of Xia, Kou’zhu, to a banquet. That afternoon, Kou’zhu and Original Sky Honor came to King Jing Palace to see the tigers. Emperor Yan showed Kou’zhu and Original Sky Honor two lists of gifts to be sent to Xia.

After looking at the price tag, Original Sky Honor asked Kou’zhu, “Are there really such valuable things in the world? Sister, you've already seen it. Is this set of jade worth three million taels of silver?”

Emperor Kou’zhu replied, “I did go to see it twice, but I didn't go inside to look at the fine jade artifacts because they were too expensive and I couldn't afford them.”

元始天尊愣了一下，转脸问炎帝：“我活了这么多年了，都没见过这么贵的东西。你去看了没？你就把这个交给我了！”

炎帝（即玉皇大帝；2.9.7-40）回答：“我去粗略地看了一下。我不懂玉器，只是也有自己的看法。他们说这套玉器里有10至20件珍品。我喜欢的有六七件。我是这么判断价钱的。我以前去杭州的雷峰塔看过里面的那尊弥勒佛。他们说那尊佛价值十万至二十万两白银。我不喜欢那座雕像，就是块玉。我还看过一尊观音像，他们说价值六万两白银。比较而言，我看这套玉器里面的那尊女娲和伏羲看着一颗白菜的雕像就值六十万两。那棵白菜非常逼真，我用手摸了才知道是玉雕。总体而言我认为我喜欢的那六七尊精品雕像就值三百万两白银。我认为那棵白菜就值三十万两。”

Original Sky Honor paused for a moment, then turned to ask Emperor Yan, “I've lived for so many years, but I've never seen anything so expensive. Did you go and see it? Just hand it over to me!”

Emperor Yan (i.e., Jade Emperor; see fig. 2.9.7-40) replied: "I took a quick look. I don't know much about jade, but I have my own opinion. They said there are 10 to 20 rare pieces in this set of jade. There are six or seven that I like. This is how I judge the price. I went to Leifeng Pagoda in Hangzhou before and saw the Maitreya (i.e., Future Buddha) inside. They said that Buddha is worth 100,000 to 200,000 taels of silver. I don't like that statue, it's just a piece of jade. I also saw a statue of Guanyin, which they said is worth 60,000 taels of silver. In comparison, I think the statue of Nuwa and Fuxi looking at a cabbage in this set of jade is worth 600,000 taels. The cabbage is very lifelike, and I didn't know it was a jade carving until I touched it with my hand. Overall, I think the six or seven exquisite statues that I like are worth 3 million taels of silver. I think that cabbage is worth 300,000 taels."

大巢氏皇后惊讶地说：“值一吨黄金的白菜，我们把它收割下来，给龙国礼物的问题就解决了！”

皇帝蔻珠用扇子敲着她的头说：“闭嘴！”然后她笑着问炎帝：“这套玉器都给我啦？”

炎帝回答：“这套玉器本来就是他们送给您的。我就只花了三千两银子让他们做运输的包装。”

大巢氏皇后反驳道：“才不是呢！我和我妈（即皇帝蔻珠）去了两次了，他们什么都没送给我们，你一去就给你了。”

炎帝回答：“他们是在用我做挡箭牌。他们怕这套玉器的什么地方惹皇帝蔻珠生气，祈求赦免不成，反倒把命赔进去了。”

Emperess Big Nest said in surprise: "The cabbage is worth a ton of gold. If we harvest it, the problem of giving gifts to Dragon Country (aka. Cloud Sea Country) will be solved!"

Emperor Kou’zhu hit her head with a fan and said, "Shut up!" Then she smiled and asked Emperor Yan: "Give me all the jades?"

Emperor Yan replied: "This set of jade was originally given to you by them. I only spent three thousand taels of silver to have them pack it for transportation."

Empress Big Nest retorted: "No! My mother (Emperor Kou’zhu) and I went there twice, and they didn't give us anything. They gave it to you the first time you went there."

Emperor Yan replied: "They are using me as a shield. They are afraid that something about this set of jade will make Emperor Kou’zhu angry, and instead of asking for a pardon, they will lose their lives."

大巢氏皇后笑着问：“咦！？是这么回事！那你是怎么看苏州那群政治犯的问题的？”

炎帝回答：“伏羲（夏国现任女娲的丈夫，又名梁山伯，燃灯佛，参见2.6《鄮县县长》）和我讨论过这个问题。他说将来我们的中华共和国成立了，人人平等。如果不免除苏州那些吴国后人政治犯的罪名，中国就出现了二等公民。你没听女娲或伏羲议论过这个问题吗？”

Empress Big Nest smiled and asked, “Hmm? Is that how it is? Then what is your opinion on the issue of those political prisoners in Suzhou?”

Emperor Yan replied, “Fuxi (the current husband of Nuwa of the Xia Kingdom, also known as Shanbo Liang, Lamplighter Buddha, see 2.6 ‘The County Magistrate of Mao County’) and I have discussed this issue. He said that once our Zhonghua Republic is established, everyone will be equal. If we do not pardon the political prisoners of the Wu Kingdom descendants in Suzhou, China will have second-class citizens. Have you not heard Nuwa or Fuxi discuss this issue?”

大巢氏回答：“我没听他们俩说过这事。妈！你听他们俩说过这事吗？”

皇帝蔻珠回答：“我没听他们俩议论过这事。”

大巢氏问炎帝：“你现在是我们家女婿们（伏羲们）的代表了！你们俩的结论是什么？”

炎帝回答：“你傻呀？人家都不说，你让我说。”

皇帝蔻珠说：“你说吧，我也想听听如来佛祖的意见！”

Big Nest replied, “I haven't heard them mention it. Mom! Have you heard them mention it?”

Empress Kou’zhu replied, “I haven't heard them discuss it.”

Big Nest asked Emperor Yan, “You are now the representative of our sons-in-law (many Fuxi-s)! What is your conclusion?”

Emperor Yan replied, “Are you stupid? They won't say anything, so why should I?”

Emperor Kou’zhu said, “Go ahead, I'd like to hear the opinion of Tathagata Buddha-Primogenitor!”

炎帝回答：“金童的设计就是把神识（即无意识）分为两部分，先天的无意识被称作神识，白色。后天的神识是 ‘金童识’，是业，黑色。业不遗传，所以人生来无罪，平等。现实生活中家族的仇恨确实有代代相传的现象，但伏羲和我都认为可以把这种家族仇恨传承现象局限地认为发生在五代人以内。换一种说法，五服以外不算为亲戚了。”

大巢氏皇后说：“这事还有女娲和伏羲呢！伏羲的舅舅法海就是吴国的后人。”

炎帝回答：“一次，女娲跟着伏羲去看望他的舅舅法海和怀海法师。他们见面后，女娲躲得远远的，不听他们的谈话。随后伏羲仍然常去拜访他的舅舅，女娲再也没陪他去过。”

皇帝蔻珠不说话了。

Emperor Yan replied, “Gold Boy's design is to divide God-sense (i.e., the unconscious) into two parts. The innate unconscious is called God-sense, which is white. The acquired God-sense is ‘Gold-Boy-Sense’, which is karma, and is black. Karma is not inherited, so people are born without sin and are equal. In real life, there is indeed a phenomenon of familial hatred being passed down through generations, but Fuxi and I both believe that this phenomenon of familial hatred can be limited to occurring within five generations. In other words, those beyond the fifth generation of kinship are no longer considered relatives.”

Empress Big Nest said, “There's also Nǚwā and Fúxī involved in this matter! Fúxī's uncle Juristic Sea is a descendant of Wu Kingdom.”

Emperor Yan replied, “Once, Nuwa accompanied Fuxi to visit his uncle Juristic Sea and the monk Chest-Sea. After they met, Nuwa kept her distance and did not listen to their conversation. Subsequently, Fuxi continued to visit his uncle frequently, but Nuwa never accompanied him again.”

Emperor Kou’zhu remained silent.

2.9.7-2五帝Five Creators

大巢氏皇后对炎帝说：“我妈不喜欢听你们图像思维模式人谈的所谓的道理。现在人都在，你还是总体评价一下这次天道轮回工程项目中的主要人物吧！”

炎帝说：“我爷爷和你姥姥命名我爸爸太昊为元始天尊，那他们俩就没神位了，所以我称呼他们为无位真人，或者太上老君。我爸爸太昊是元始天尊，你妈妈蔻珠也是元始天尊。从我爸爸和你妈妈都是双身神来说，我妈妈玉珠和你的生父也是元始天尊。龙国的老皇帝熬达最终也没同意加入中华共和国，所以元始天尊是他们四位，都是古代神和女神。”

Empress said to Emperor Yan: "My mother doesn't like to listen to the so-called principles you people with the image thinking mode talk about. Now that everyone is here, you should give an overall evaluation of the main figures in this Godly Cycle Project!"

Emperor Yan said: "My grandfather and your grandmother named my father Taihao Original Sky Honor, so they have no godly position anymore, so I call them No Position Real Humans, or Tai Shang Lao Jun. My father Taihao is Original Sky Honor, and your mother Kou’zhu is also Original Sky Honor. Since my father and your mother are both double-bodied gods, my mother Yu’zhu and your biological father are also Original Sky Honors. The old emperor of Dragon Country, Aoda, did not agree to join the Republic of China in the end, so Original Sky Honors is the four of them, all ancient gods and goddesses. "

炎帝说：“这项百年树人的第三代人是我，女娲，和熬忖；从双身神来说我们是六个人。我们三人（或六人）是现代的神或女神。加上第二代的两位元始天尊，我们五个人（或十个人）就是五帝，即五位造世祖。”

Emperor Yan said: "The third generation of this century-long human cultivation project is me, Nuwa, and Aocun; from the perspective of the two-body gods, we are six people. Together with the two Original Sky Honors of the second generation, the five of us (or ten people) are the Five Creators of the World.”

2.9.7-3三皇 Three White-Kings

炎帝继续说：“这项女娲造人工程，被华国人称作杨戬计划，被龙国人称作三足鸟计划。第四代人是舜和禹。”说着，炎帝拿出了前文仓颉交给他的五个字：尧（瑶），顺（舜），和禹。熬忖将成为中华共和国的第一任皇帝，这是十四年前由夏国的皇帝，华国的皇帝和熬忖共同确立的。熬忖将是舜和禹的政治学老师。仓颉交给我五个字，我选舜为夏娃的封号。舜义为女魔。她要在38.7岁之后才能觉悟成为女人，成为顺。顺义为顺从，三页纸。她将在38.7岁之后实施我们制定的 ‘三页计划’。”

Emperor Yan continued, "This Nuwa man creation project is called the Yang’jian Project by the Hua people and the Three-legged Bird Project by the Dragon Country people. The fourth generation is Shun and Yu." As he spoke, Emperor Yan took out the five characters that Cang’jie had given him: Yao (瑶, 尧), Shun (舜, 顺), and Yu (禹). Aocun (Yao, 瑶, 尧) will become the first emperor of the Republic of China, which was jointly established by the emperor of Xia, the emperor of Hua and Aocun fourteen years ago. Aocun will be the political science teacher of Shun and Yu. Cang’jie gave me five characters, and I chose Shun (舜) as the title of Eve. Shun (舜) means demoness. She will awaken to become a woman and become Shun (顺) after 38.7-year-old. Shun (顺) means obedient, three pages. She will implement the ‘three-page plan’ we have formulated after she turns 38.7.”

2.9.7-4 玉皇大帝和西王母的儿子 Son of Turquoise Emperor and King Mother of the West

大巢氏说：“我想做个声明。夏娃现在是舜王了。我就是王母了，随后我会告诉这皇宫里的所有人称呼我为 ‘王母娘娘’ 或‘西王母’。

西王母看了看蔻珠和太昊，然后对炎帝说：“人都在，方便证实我所说的。我们俩有个儿子。”

炎帝没出声，惊讶地瞪着眼睛看太昊和蔻珠。蔻珠和太昊都点头了。

Big Nest said, "I want to make a statement. Eve is now the King Shun. I am the King Mother, and I will tell everyone in the palace to call me ‘King Mother of the West'.

King Mother of the West looked at Kou’zhu and Taihao, then said to Emperor Yan: "Everyone is here, so it's convenient to verify what I said. We have a son."

Emperor Yan didn't say anything but stared at Taihao and Kou’zhu in surprise. Kou’zhu and Taihao both nodded.

西王母继续说：“在他懂事时我就告诉他了，‘你爸爸将成为一位伟大的帝王，所以你出生就是政治犯。他十几岁时我又告诉他为你准备一份礼物，在你登基成为皇帝时送给你。前一段时间他问我你喜欢什么？我回答，‘我几次听见他叨咕从来没看见过60吨黄金是多大的一堆。’他说他要送给你60吨黄金。现在他在城外，等着见你呢！”

King Mother of the West continued, "When he was old enough to understand, I told him: 'Your father will become a great emperor, so you were born a political prisoner. When he was a teenager, I told him to prepare a gift for you and give it to you when you ascend the throne. Some time ago, he asked me what you like. I answered, 'I have heard him mutter several times that he has never seen how big a pile of 60 tons of gold is.' He said he would give you 60 tons of gold. Now he is outside the city, waiting to see you!"

炎帝问西王母：“他才二十几岁，从哪里弄来了那么多的黄金？”

西王母回答：“他叫XYZ，在东部沿海做生意，很出名。”

炎帝立刻变得悲哀了。过了一会儿，他转身对一位夏国安全局警官说：“你去告诉XYZ，我不见他。”

那位警官立刻站了起来，说：“我这就去告诉XYZ。”

西王母制止了那位警官，对炎帝说：“由我来告诉他吧！他对我说，‘他没做过违法的事！’”

Emperor Yan asked King Mother of the West, “He's only in his twenties. Where did he get all that gold?”

King Mother of the West replied, “His name is XYZ. He does business on the eastern coast and is very famous.”

Emperor Yan immediately became sad. After a moment, he turned to a security officer from the Xia Kingdom and said, “Go tell XYZ that I will not see him.”

The officer immediately stood up and said, “I will go tell XYZ right away.”

King Mother of the West stopped the police officer and said to Emperor Yan, “Let me tell him! He told me, ‘He hasn't done anything illegal!’”

炎帝说：“多年前我就听说了XYZ这位商业奇才。他开妓院，开赌场，放高利贷，什么赚钱就干什么。他没做违法的事，可他的手下做了。有人到官府衙门告他。他的官司几天就结案。人们都说他在夏国和华国都有很大的靠山。今天我才知道。他的靠山现在都在这屋里坐着呢！”

西王母哭着哀求：“他从小大大最大的愿望就是想见一见父亲，不需要你为他做什么！”

炎帝回答：“太昊和蔻珠两位元始天尊称呼我 ‘青帝’，我就要保持青天的颜色不变。我不要他的钱，也不许你花他的钱。”

Emperor Yan said, “I heard about XYZ, the business genius, many years ago. He runs brothels, casinos, and lends money at exorbitant rates—whatever makes money, he does. He hasn't done anything illegal, but his subordinates have. Someone went to the government office to report him. His case was settled in a few days. People say he has powerful connections in both the Xia Kingdom and the Hua Kingdom. Today I finally understand. His connections are all sitting in this room right now!”

King Mother of the West cried and pleaded, “His greatest wish since childhood has been to see his father. You don't need to do anything for him!”

Emperor Yan replied, “The two Primordial Sky Honors, Tai’hao and Kou’zhu, call me ‘Turquoise Emperor’ so the color of turquoise sky I shall keep. I don't want his money, and I won't allow you to spend his money either.”

2.9.7-5 无忧 Worry-Free

屋里的人都沉默地看着炎帝和西王母争吵。皇帝蔻珠小声对太昊说：“我想给夏娃和大禹的儿子起名 ‘吴忧’。”

太昊默默地点点头，然后低头哭了。

注2.9.7-5，吴忧的表面意思是 “吴国人的担忧”，但与 “无忧” 同音。这也就回答了炎帝的请求，赦免了吴国后人政治犯的罪名。

Everyone in the room watched silently as Emperor Yan and King Mother of the West argued. The Emperor Kou’zhu whispered to Taihao, “I want to name Eve and Yu’s son ‘Wu You (吴悠)’.”

Taihao nodded silently, then bowed his head and cried.

Note 2.9.7-5, the surface meaning of Wu You (吴悠) is “the worries of the people of Wu Kingdom”, but it is homophonous with “worry-free”. This answered the request of the Emperor Yan and pardoned the political crimes of the descendants of Wu Kingdom.
