【注】与希腊的悬空寺(Meteora Monasteries)所在的山峰相似，西班牙的蒙特塞拉特“锯齿山”也由古老的砂岩构成，气势巍峨，形态奇特。这片豪宕的自然美景，自古便是传统登山的绝佳热门胜地。若不是行程匆匆，时间紧迫，我真恨不得豁出去大展拳脚，攀上那些令人心驰神往的岩脊。
蒙特塞拉特的岩石是由沙子和粘土等天然水泥粘合的卵石组成，质地坚硬，极耐侵蚀。然而，数百万年来的风雨霜雪却以其柔韧的耐心，把这座山雕琢成如今独一无二的奇特岩层。其间，不乏出现仿佛“针”一般尖锐的石锋、形态敦实的“小木乃伊”与“木乃伊”、匍匐的“猫”、笨拙的“大象”、以及神秘的“黑圣母”——这些怪石嶙峋的构造，不仅刻画出了独到的人文景观，也引发了全世界地质学家们的浓厚兴趣。对了，巴塞罗那“船歌”那座举世闻名的圣家堂(Basílica de la Sagrada Família)，其建筑石料便正是来自蒙特塞拉特——这仿佛让高迪的杰作与这座神山之间有了一种无形的血脉相连。
