【注】布莱恩特“高贵”公园在19世纪被视作水库广场，因为曾经位于纽约公共图书馆大楼旧址的大型配水库——巴豆(Croton)水库，其东面毗连纽约公共图书馆主分馆，西北角紧靠布莱恩特公园一号(美洲银行大厦)；20世纪70年代又因吸毒者频繁光顾而曾一度被戏称“针头公园”。
夏季期间，布莱恩特公园提供免费户外夜场电影，作为纽约客的我曾于1994年第一次到此夏夜追凉，如同“夜热依然午热同”的旧日跟大萝卜*一起坐在小马扎上仰望星空下的银幕，无论远在南京半山园还是近在纽约布莱恩特园，碰巧感受“时有微凉不是风”。每逢冬日来临，美国银行冬季村让布莱恩特公园成为曼哈顿“弓岛”的冬季仙境。
1966年，布莱恩特公园被纳入《美国国家史迹名录》。
*南京人被比作大萝卜，因为南京人没有上海人的精明老练、北京人的个性张扬、温州人的金钱嗅觉、广州人的阔商派头，堪称为人随和的实心眼儿；毕竟南京不及上海的经济繁华、北京的政治地位、温州的竞争创新、广州的快速节奏，所以是杂烩外地人的天堂。
