【注】今年纽约大学的家长会依旧定在金秋十月最后一周，虽然纽约仔已上大三，但我还是提前一个月上网注册，希望再度走进校园领略教育的真谛。哪曾想到，计划赶不上变化，变化赶不上旧病复发！因为急性坐骨神经作梗，痛得我整个周末卧床不起，只好将纽约之行顺延一周。
既然错过了家庭聚会，何不到曼哈顿“弓岛”桥、布碌仑“美溪”桥浪上一遭？秋冬之交正染上头疼脑热的纽约仔周一期中考试在即，于是我们相约下城小福州埠的花园川菜馆，午餐后桥头堡前各奔东西。
1983年与1966年，曼哈顿桥和布鲁克林桥分别被纳入《美国国家历史遗迹名录》。
