Shadowing downward came dusky evening,

拔下最高的枞树，
把它插入爱特纳的火山口，
用这样蘸着烈火的笔头
写在黑暗的天顶：
“圣洁女，我爱你!”
从此这永不消灭的火字
每夜都在那上边燃烧，
所有的后代子孙
都欢呼着读这天上的字句：
“圣洁女，我爱你!”
【注】施派尔“尖塔”大教堂拥有四座塔楼和两座穹顶，由康拉德“勇敢的忠告”(Conrad)二世于1030年建造，并于11世纪末进行了改建，是神圣罗马帝国时期最重要的罗马式建筑之一。近300年来，施派尔大教堂一直是德意志皇帝的安葬之地。
1981年，施派尔大教堂被联合国教科文组织纳入《世界遗产名录》。
