那只舞The Dance

今天脑子里突然想起Garth Brooks的一首歌The Dance（那只舞）。Garth Brooks估计知道的人不多。他是一个30年前出名的乡村歌手。The Dance是他1989年发行的一首歌。现在回看，这或许是他最精彩的一首歌曲了。

初次听这首歌，是在1990年代初，一个阳光明媚的中午。应该是一个周五。那时候上海电台里有一个小时的午餐音乐，是一家美国娱乐公司在达拉斯制作的，用特快专递到上海播放。周五是乡村音乐专辑，主持人是一个有着温暖声音的女士。

那时，朝气蓬勃的1980年代刚结束，迎来的是一个沉闷的几年。那时，刚刚开始我在交大的教师生涯不久，应该是意气风发的年纪，却突然变得很迷茫。为了麻木自己，我多数时间是躲在单身宿舍里守着个收音机听歌。有好的英文歌就录下来，反复播送，用做实验剩下的小打印纸做成的卡片，记下歌词。那段时间，英文听力突飞猛进，各色欧美甚至斯堪地维尼亚的英文歌手（组合）和也渐渐熟悉了起来。

这些歌曲是心灵的慰藉，陪我度过了人生中迷茫的几年。

这首歌第一次听不像同时代Linda Ronstadt和Aaron Neville的Don't Know Much那样让人立马竖起耳朵来。这首The Dance被Garth Brooks唱得如行云流水，越听越引人入胜。或许是歌中透出的那淡淡的忧伤，很符合当时的心情。

出国二十多年，从来没听到过这首歌，也没想到要去听这首歌。今天想起来，脑子里闪出的是最后那句“the dance”的旋律。

在油管（Youtube）上搜出来这首歌，听了几个版本，最喜欢的还是那老版本。没有变化的画面，只有音乐在流淌。

这首歌后面的留言背后都是忧伤的故事。打动人的，一定是戳到心灵深处的东西。

窗外阳光灿烂，阳光洒落在碧草上，几片落叶泛着金光。最后那句“the..er..er..dan....ce”的旋律。能感觉到那种浸入骨髓的忧伤。

我的眼睛变得模糊。不知道是阳光还是这旋律还是这歌词。

这时，一群鸟儿呼啸着飞过窗外。
