In the words that it was forming.       广告牌显露出的只字片语
And the signs said, The words of the prophets       它昭示：先哲的警言
are written on the subway walls     书写在地铁的墙壁
And tenement halls.    书写在贫民的住所
And whisper’d in the sounds of silence.    呢喃在一片沉寂的无声之音里
