Technology makes people’s life better and better over time. That is true most time in most places. Recent years, applying for Chinese VISA may not be as easy as before, to some, or to many, users. I can't imagine who would enjoy the Adobe form filling.

Why can’t we use a word template since most people use Word these days?

Thank you for the sympathy and the new trick. You know, the VISA office can make things more convenient to people and they can make more money if they want. I just have a simple mind: let technology to make people's life easier, not the other way. Actually these applicants are either Chinese family members, friends, or tourists who will spend money in China, why not just provide the people with convenience and quality services?
