In the middle of the photo is Roy Glauber. I had a green shirt on.

There is no question that many of the New York Jewish physicists I had the supreme honor of
learning and interacting from defined not just my scientific career, but my attitude in life.
Thanks, Jack and Allan, for giving me an opportunity to remember my lovely memories of the
brilliant New York Jewish physicists which I had benefitted from them professionally and
humanistically.
(Postscript comment: A good friend who is a brilliant experimental physicist told me the
following after he read what I had written. He said that his personal physician was also a Bronx
Science student. During that time when he was a student at Bronx Science, he was fascinated by
physics and at one point even considered going on to study physics. But then he realized two of
his classmates were simply light years ahead of him, they were just brilliant beyond description.
So, he said to himself, there was no way he could ever be as good as them and made the decision
that medicine it was! His classmates were Sheldon Glashow and Steven Weinberg!)
