1. 舅舅来了 Uncle came

一天尘香正和捕快临冲和路引在县政府的门前唠嗑，一个农村老大爷进了县政府。临冲调侃地对尘香说：“你舅舅来了！”

尘香看了舅舅一眼，回答：“他来干嘛？”

林冲回答：“他是来办假身份证的。”

One day, Dust-scent was chatting with the constable Before-Charging and Path-Leader in front of the county government, when an old man from the countryside entered the county government. Before-Charging said to Dust-scent jokingly, "Your uncle is here!"

Dust-scent glanced at his uncle and replied, "What is he doing here?"

Before-Charging replied, "He is here to get a fake ID."

尘香不屑地回答：“他有假身份证也没什么地方可去！”

路引说：“我听说，你妈家的祖坟本来不在湖北。十年前，你的外祖母，西王母，把祖坟从浙江迁到了湖北。你舅舅名叫不可超越，在浙江时就有很多生意，很有钱。他来这儿之后，他依旧在江苏，山东，和河北做生意。”

Dust-scent replied disdainfully, "He has nowhere to go with a fake ID!"

Path-Leader said, “I heard that your mother’s ancestral graves were not originally in Hubei. Ten years ago, your maternal grandmother, King Mother of the West, moved the ancestral graves from Zhejiang to Hubei. Your uncle’s name is Unsurpassable. He had a lot of business and was very rich in Zhejiang. After he came here, he continued to do business in Jiangsu, Shandong and Hebei.”

这时舅舅，县长，和县长秘书行政从县政府里走出来了。舅舅高兴地招呼尘香说：“县长请我吃饭，走！你跟舅舅一起去！”

尘香没回答。临冲在他的耳边小声说：“跟县长一起吃饭的机会难得呀！” 尘香觉着临冲的话有道理，跟在了他们三人的后面。

At this time, Uncle, the county prefect, and the county prefect's secretary Administrative walked out of the county government. Uncle happily greeted Dust-scent and said, "The prefect invited me to feast, let's go! You go with your uncle!"

Dust-scent did not answer. Before-Charging whispered in his ear, "It's a rare opportunity to have feast with the county perfect!" Dust-scent felt that Before-Charging's words made sense and followed them.

2. 县长向舅舅致谢 County Prefect Thanks Uncle

在开始吃饭前，县长郑重地对舅舅致谢：“我代表县委，县政府，和全县的公民感谢您在我们这里住了十年！您此次回老家都打算做些什么？”

Before the meal began, the county chief solemnly thanked Uncle: "On behalf of the county party committee, the county government, and all the citizens of the county, I would like to thank you for living here for ten years! What do you plan to do when you return to your hometown this time?"

舅舅回答：“我一辈子没做过对不起我父亲（即玉皇大帝）和我母亲（即王母娘娘）的事。自从我母亲将女娲家族的祖坟迁到了湖北，我就没离开过这县的地域一次。这次回废都杭州，我要先去以前的鲵丸宫，拜祭我的母亲西王母，和我的外祖母蔻珠。然后，我去找几个和我一起长大的老朋友。第二个我要去的地方是位于河南的废都永安，去拜祭我的父亲和我的爷爷元始天尊。在那之后，我去嵩山少林寺，去拜见我的大伯父靖王武大郎和大伯母石矶娘娘潘金莲。在那之后，我去山东，那里有我许多过去的生意上的朋友。”

Uncle replied, "I have never done anything to let my father (Turquoise White-King Great Creator) and my mother (King-Mother of the West) down in my life. Ever since my mother moved the ancestral tomb of Nuwa family to Hubei, I have never left this county. This time when I return to the abandoned capital of Hangzhou, I will first go to the former Salamander Bolus Palace to pay homage to my mother, King Mother of the West, and my grandmother, Kou’zhu. Then, I will go to see some old friends who grew up with me. The second place I will go to is the abandoned capital of Yong'an in Henan, to pay homage to my father and my grandfather Primitive Sky Honor. After that, I will go to the Shaolin Temple in Songshan to pay homage to my great uncle, King Jing, Martial Big Wolf, and my great aunt, Queen Stone Jetty, Goldthread Pan. After that, I will go to Shandong, where I have many of my old business friends."

县长说：“您在三年之内回来这里一次就行！”

舅舅回答：“用不了三年！我已经习惯这里的生活了。旅游完我说过的那三十几个地方，我就回来这里养老。”

县长庄重地对秘书说：“那这事就由你来办吧！” 他转脸对舅舅说：“我现在还在工作。我去付账，然后就回办公室了。你们慢慢聊！”

The county prefect said, "You just need to come back here once within three years!"

Uncle replied, "It won't take three years! I'm used to life here. After I travel to thirty or so places, I mentioned, I'll come back here to retire."

The county chief solemnly said to Administrative, "Then you can do it!" He turned to Uncle and said, "I'm still working. I’ll pay the bill and then go back to the office. You guys chat slowly!"

几个人都站了起来，目送县长离开后，舅舅抱住了尘香，对行政说：“我听说了这小子的一些事，他将来肯定比我有出息！”

行政笑着对尘香说：“比舅舅更有出息，比蹬天难！”

他们三人聊了一会儿后，舅舅拿出了一个装着300两银子的袋子，放到了秘书的面前。秘书连忙说：“我可不能收您的钱！”

Several people stood up and watched the county prefect leave. Uncle hugged Dust-scent and said to the Administrative: "I heard about this kid. He will be more promising than me in the future!"

Administrative smiled and said to Dust-scent: "It's harder than climbing to the sky to be more promising than Uncle!" After the three of them chatted for a while, Uncle took out a bag containing 300 tales of silver and put it in front of Administrative. Administrative hurriedly said: "I can't take your money!"

舅舅笑着回答：“礼物！”

行政立刻站了起来，接过了袋子，说：“谢谢舅舅！您的新身份证，我回去就做。晚上，我给您送过去。”

舅舅指着尘香回答：“不麻烦您了！新身份证做好后，交给他，让他下班后给我带回去。”

Uncle smiled and replied, "Gift!"

Administrative immediately stood up, took the bag, and said, "Thank you, Uncle! I will make your new ID card when I get back. I will send it to you in the evening."

Uncle pointed at Dust-scent and replied, "Don't bother you! When the new ID card is made, give it to him and ask him to bring it back to me after get off work."

3. 尘香学习做假身份 Dust-scent Learns to Make Fake ID

行政跟着尘香进了档案库，就开始为舅舅做身份证明。尘香默默地在旁边看着，记下了行政作假身份证的方法。随后他向行政询问了舅舅家的地址，就回家找弟弟尘凡了。尘凡一听哥哥让他陪着去舅舅家，很不高兴。尘香解释说： “县长请舅舅吃饭，他拉我一起去，是在抬举我。咱俩应该去谢谢他。”

Administrative followed Dust-scent into the archive and began to make an identity card for Uncle. Dust-scent silently watched from the side and memorized Administrative’s method of making a fake ID. He then asked Administrative for his uncle's address before heading home to find his younger brother, Dust-mortal. Upon hearing his brother wanted him to accompany them to their uncle's house, Dust-mortal was displeased. Dust-scent explained, “The county prefect invited our uncle to dinner and asked me to join. It's an honor for me. We should both go and thank him.”

到舅舅家后，这哥俩敲门，没人开门。他俩拉开门就进去了。屋里没人，但被屋子里的布置惊呆了，和龙王爷爷（即熬钦）的房间布置的一样，还供着龙王的雕像。雕像的前面放着一本《龙王经》（注，本书15.5.13《大禹治水》是根据这本经改编的）。尘香翻开书一看，更吃惊了。这书述说的是尧舜禹龙王和自己的父亲牛郎之间的事。还有一章详细地叙述了牛郎父子三人到琼洲后直至这哥俩离开琼洲的许多生活细节。

After arriving at Uncle's house, the two brothers knocked on the door, but no one answered. They pushed the door open and went inside. The house was empty, but its interior left them stunned. It was arranged exactly like Grandfather Dragon King's (Aoqin) room, complete with a statue of the Dragon King. Before the statue lay a copy of Dragon King Sutra (Note: Chapter 15.5.13 “Yu’s Water Treatment,” in this book is adapted from this sutra). When Dust-scent opened the book, he was even more astonished. The text recounted the affairs between Yao, Shun, Yu, Dragon King, and his own father, Cowboy. One chapter detailed numerous aspects of the lives of Cowboy and his two sons after their arrival in Qiong Continent, right up until the brothers' departure from the island.

4. 给玉皇大帝的礼物 Gifts for Turquoise Creator

这哥俩寻找到了后院，发现了身穿龙袍的舅舅正站在一棵桃树旁边。尘凡问舅舅：“你是龙王爷爷派来的吗？”

舅舅摇摇头回答：“我在等你们俩来。我没见过龙王。”

These two brothers searched to the backyard and found their uncle in dragon robes standing next to a peach tree. Dust-mortal asked Uncle, “Were you sent by Grandpa Dragon King?”

Uncle shook his head and replied, “I was waiting for you two to come. I've never met Dragon King.”

三人回屋吃饭。舅舅开始讲述他的故事：“小时候，我妈妈就告诉我，‘你爸爸（张屠户）肩负着女娲家族的一项重要任务，将成为一位历史上最伟大的帝王，所以他不知道你的存在。也正因为如此，你从出生就是政治犯。’ 妈妈让我为爸爸准备一件礼物，当他成为皇帝时，送给他。后来我爸爸真的成为了华国的皇帝（即炎帝，少昊）。我问妈妈， ‘爸爸最喜欢什么？’ 妈妈回答，‘我听他叨咕过几次：从来没看见过60吨黄金是多大的一堆！’ 我告诉妈妈，‘我送给他60吨黄金！’ 没多久，妈妈给我回话说爸爸不喜欢我的礼物，不想见我。”

The three went back inside to eat. Uncle began to tell his story: “When I was little, my mother told me, ‘Your father (Zhang the butcher) has an important mission for the Nuwa family; he will become one of the greatest emperors in history, so he doesn’t know you exist. And that’s why you were born a political prisoner.’ My mother told me to prepare a gift for my father to give him when he became emperor. Later, my father really did become the emperor of Hua (Creator Yan, Young God). I asked my mother, ‘What does Dad like most?’ My mother replied, ‘I’ve heard him mutter a few times: I’ve never seen how big a pile of 60 tons of gold is!’ I told my mother, ‘I’ll give him 60 tons of gold!’ Not long after, my mother told me that Dad didn’t like my gift and didn’t want to see me.”

舅舅继续说：“几个月后，爸爸派人来问，‘我送他什么见面礼？’ 我回答，‘送他120吨黄金’。爸爸拒绝见我。几个月后，爸爸又派人来问我，我要送他什么见面礼？我回答，200吨黄金。爸爸拒绝见我。后来，我委托人告诉爸爸，‘我送他一句话：我这辈子没做过对不起父母的事！’ 妈妈告诉我，‘你爸爸听了这一句话的礼物，很高兴！但他说你缺福，他不应当见你。他让我给你做一件龙袍，说你可能以后用得着！’”

Uncle continued, “A few months later, Dad sent someone to ask, ‘What gift should I give him?’ I replied, ‘120 tons of gold.’ Dad refused to see me. A few months later, Dad sent someone again to ask what gift I should give him. I replied, ‘200 tons of gold.’ Dad refused to see me again. Later, I had someone tell Dad, ‘I gave him a message: I have never done anything to wrong my parents in my life!’ Mom told me, ‘Your father was very happy to hear this gift! But he said you lacked fortune and he shouldn’t see you. He asked me to make you a dragon robe, saying you might need it in the future!’”

5. 为什么舅舅是政治犯？Why was Uncle a Political Prisoner?

玉皇大帝对外宣说他没儿子，说大禹是他的儿子，所以大禹有义务为玉皇大帝写墓志铭（如图14.8-5），也就是本书《中华法典》的下部。这就是商朝称《中华法典》为铭文的原因。

Turquoise Creator publicly declared that he had no sons but claimed that Big Yu was his son. Therefore, Big Yu had an obligation to write Turquoise Creator's epitaph (as shown in Figure 14.8-5), which is the lower part of this book, "Chinese Codex." This is why Shang Dynasty referred to "Chinese Codex" as an Epitaph.

上帝的墓碑都没字；法典都是墓志铭。图2是玉皇大帝的生母，九天玄女的无字墓碑，她用母爱诅咒了玉皇大帝，所以玉皇大帝和西王母撰写了《中华法典》的上部。图2驮着九天玄女无字墓碑的乌龟是玉皇大帝。图5中驮着玉皇大帝无字墓碑的乌龟是大禹。图7是德国人的上帝（雷音）的无字墓碑。图8是墨西哥的特拉洛克（金童，亚当）。他顶着古代的特拉洛克表示他在思考古代的特拉洛克。古代的特拉洛克头顶着他自己神父的无字墓碑，表示古代的特拉洛克在思考如何为神父写墓志铭，即《墨西哥法典》。

Gods' tombstones are all blank; Codices are all epitaphs. Figure 2 shows the blank tombstone of Turquoise Creator’s mother, Ninth Sky Myth Woman. She cursed Turquoise Creator with maternal love, so Turquoise Creator and King Mother of the West wrote the first part of the "Chinese Codex." The tortoise carrying the Ninth Sky Myth Woman's blank tombstone in Figure 2 is Turquoise Creator. The tortoise carrying Turquoise Creator's blank tombstone in Figure 5 is Big Yu. Figure 7 shows the blank tombstone of German God (Thor). Figure 8 depicts the Mexican Tlaloc (Gold Boy, Adam). He bears the ancient Tlaloc upon his head, signifying his contemplation of the ancient Tlaloc. The ancient Tlaloc carries the wordless tombstone of his own godfather atop his head, indicating that the ancient Tlaloc is pondering how to compose an epitaph for God—namely, Mexican Codex.

6. 龙王经 Dragon King Sutra

舅舅说着，给尘香和尘凡看龙袍，说：“这件龙袍是我妈妈亲自设计的，她亲自缝了三年。那时候，她是夏国和华国，两个国家的皇帝，她正向尧帝做政权移交，很忙！” 舅舅一边给这哥俩看龙袍一边说：“这脖子下面的扣子叫做龙王扣，是尧帝让人制作的，尧帝亲手给我缝上的。我妈妈看得都不好意思了。尧帝说她喜欢我。”

Uncle said, showing Dust-scent and Dust-mortal the dragon robe, saying, “This dragon robe was designed by my mother herself, and she personally sewed it for three years. At that time, she was the emperor of Xia and Hua, two countries, and she was doing the transfer of power to Yao Creator, very busy!” While showing these two brothers the dragon robe, Uncle said, “The buckle underneath this neck is called the Dragon King's Buckle, which Yao Creator had made, and Yao Creator personally sewed it on for me. My mom was embarrassed to look at it. Yao Creator said she liked me.”

舅舅继续说：“后来有朋友给我出主意说撰写《中华法典》能积无穷的福。尧舜禹在琼洲的故事没人写，如果我愿意，它可以把材料送给我。我就开始写《龙王经》了。前几天，出版商把我写的这本书送来了。” 舅舅指着龙王雕像旁边的两摞书说：“就是这本书！前天，我第一次梦见我爸爸玉皇大帝了。他对我说，‘很荣幸能成为《龙王经》的第一个读者！’ 他说我写的这本书适合普通百姓读，会利益后人千万年。”

Uncle continued, “Then a friend gave me the idea that writing Chinese Codex would accumulate inexhaustible fortune. No one had written the story of Yao, Shun and Yu in Qiong Continent, and it could send me the material if I wanted. I then started to write the Dragon King Sutra. A few days ago, the publisher sent me this book I wrote.” Uncle pointed to the two stacks of books next to the statue of Dragon King and said, “This is the book! The day before yesterday, I had my first dream about my father, Turquoise Creator. He said to me, 'I am honored to be the first reader of Dragon King Sutra!' He said that the book I wrote is suitable for ordinary people to read and will benefit future generations for thousands of years.”

7. 没做过对不起父母的事 Never Done Anything to Betray Parents

尘香和尘凡离开舅舅家时已经是午夜了，外面刮起了大风。兄弟俩仿佛看见每隔一段距离站着一位士兵，但这哥儿俩谁也没在意。第二天早晨醒来后，都觉着昨晚看见的士兵好像是雕像似的，决定回到舅舅家查看。到舅舅家的门前后，他们俩四处看，即没看见士兵也没看见雕像。舅舅家的们半开着。这哥俩就又进屋了，发现舅舅已经不在了，龙王的雕像前放着两本书，书中间夹着个字条：我这辈子没做过对不起父母的事！福！

It was midnight when Dust-scent and Dust-mortal left Uncle's house, a gale was blowing outside. It was as if the brothers saw a soldier standing at every other distance, but neither of the brothers paid any attention to it. Upon waking up the next morning, both felt as if the soldiers they saw last night were statues and decided to return to Uncle's house to check. After arriving at Uncle's door, they both looked around and saw neither the soldiers nor the statues. The door of their uncle's house was half open. The two brothers went back into the house and found that Uncle was no longer there. In front of the statue of the Dragon King there were two books with a note in the middle of them: I've never done anything wrong to my parents in my life! Fortune!

尘香对弟弟说：“这书是给咱俩的，一人一本！昨天，你已经拿了一本了。今天，我再拿一本。”

一些天后，这兄弟俩再次去舅舅家查看。屋门是关着的，但没锁。他俩进去后，发现屋里没人；但《龙王经》少了几本。随后，这兄弟俩多次去舅舅家察看，仍然没人在家，只是《龙王经》越来越少。直到有一天，兄弟俩发现这个家有了新主人。新主人说：“我们刚买了这栋房子，不认识以前的房主。”

Dust-scent said to her brother, “This book is for both of us, one for each of us! Yesterday, you already took one. Today, I will take another one.”

Some days later, the brothers went to their uncle's house to check again. The door of the house was closed but unlocked. When they went in, they found no one in the house; however, several copies of the Dragon King Sutra were missing. After that, the brothers went to their uncle's house several times to check, and still no one was home, but the Dragon King Sutras were missing increasingly. Until one day, the brothers found that the house had a new owner. The new owner said, “We just bought this house and don't know the previous owner.”
