Two hours was enough for singer Zhang Liangying to prove her continued popularity among fans.
The young star, rising to fame from her position as second runner-up in the "Super Girl" singing competition two years ago, attracted thousands of fans for her solo concert held at Beijing Exhibition Theater on Saturday night.
With some new dance moves, the 22-year-old singer presented live versions of hit songs from her debut album "The One," as well as new songs from her upcoming album "Update," due out in August.
The new album features a song called "We Are Together," produced for a project by the United Nations Children's Fund.
When she performed the song, 50 child guests from different countries appeared onstage to show their support.
Zhang Liangying, best known for singing her favorite songs in foreign languages, also covered Richard Marx's signature ballad "Right Here Waiting" and Beyonce's "Listen" from the award-winning Broadway musical "Dreamgirls."
Being one of the most successful "Super Girls," Zhang Liangying has made several international appearances already.
Earlier this year, she joined U2, Madonna, the Rolling Stones and Green Day as the only Asian female singer, in recording the song "Give Your Love" for World Peace One.
She also made her North American debut in March with a solo concert in Los Angeles.
